About This Property
Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa is a 4-star family beach resort on Mauritius’s north-west coast at Pointe aux Piments, between Grand Baie and Port Louis. Rooms face the lagoon and the evening light; Go2Africa notes them as among the largest and most stylish in the island’s 4-star category.
The 2025–26 factsheet counts 231 superior and deluxe rooms, 18 family apartments and 6 junior suites, plus a 40-room adults-only wing called Victoria for 2. Superior and deluxe rooms are about 60 m², with a sitting area, balcony or terrace, and an en-suite bathroom with double basins, bath, shower and separate toilet. Ground-floor deluxe rooms can open to the pool. Two-bedroom apartments run to about 120 m².
Victoria for 2 is 40 sea-facing rooms (23 ocean-facing and 17 swim-up) on an 800 m² pool, with Morris Beef restaurant and the Nautilus Pool Bar, while still using the main resort’s beach, sports and dining.
Dining is spread across several sea-facing restaurants — Le Superbe (buffet), La Casa (Italian), L’Horizon (seafood) and, for Victoria for 2, Morris Beef — plus a handful of beach and pool bars. Half-board is the usual published plan; all-inclusive is optional and interchangeable with Shandrani, Canonnier and Mauricia Beachcomber.
Days are built around a free kids club on the beach (ages 3–11), a teens club (12–17), a baby-care room, a gym, tennis, and a long list of complimentary water sports on the lagoon, with a PADI diving academy on site for those who want to go further. Spa Beachcomber has six treatment rooms and wet and dry steam baths. Mont Choisy Le Golf is about ten minutes away.
Why We Love It
We love this one for families who want space. Rooms are large for the 4-star band on Mauritius, apartments actually separate the children, and the kids club sits on the beach rather than in a basement — with a teens club so older children are not parked with the toddlers.
The west-facing lagoon is the other reason. You get the sunset the island is famous for, a sheltered reef, and a long list of complimentary water sports without leaving the property. Couples who find a full family resort too busy can book Victoria for 2: forty rooms, an 800 m² pool, and still the run of the main beach and restaurants.
We would not sell it as wilderness, or as all-inclusive unless that package is booked. Half-board is the usual plan; the diving academy, golf at Mont Choisy and the spa are extras. Used as a beach week after a safari, or as a standalone Mauritius stay, it does what a well-run Beachcomber family resort is meant to do.

Who It's For
Families first — spacious rooms and apartments, a beach kids club, a teens club and a baby-care room. Couples who still want resort facilities can use the adults-only Victoria for 2 wing. Not a safari lodge and not a quiet boutique hideaway; it is a large 4-star beach resort.
Best Time to Visit
Mauritius is a year-round beach destination. The north-west coast is known for sunsets and a sheltered lagoon. Cyclone season in the wider south-west Indian Ocean is typically November–April; always check current weather before travel. School holidays are the busiest family periods.
