ATKV-Hartenbos is a sprawling, town-like family resort on the world-famous Garden Route, about eight kilometres from Mossel Bay and forty from George Airport. It is built for the classic South African seaside holiday, with the beach right on the doorstep.Accommodation ranges from two-sleeper units up to eight-sleeper beach houses, plus a bed-and-breakfast option and a large camping and caravan area, so it suits couples, big families and groups alike. Most units are fully self-catering.The draw is the sheer range of things to do on site – a water park, swimming pools, mini-golf and volleyball – all a short stroll from the sand.

How to Get There
Fly into George Airport, then drive roughly 40 km south-east along the N2 to Hartenbos, just past Mossel Bay. The resort is signposted off the main road and sits right on the Hartenbos seafront.
Nearby Attractions
Mossel Bay's beaches and harbour, the wider Garden Route, and easy drives inland to the Klein Karoo and Oudtshoorn.

Most units are self-catering; bring or buy your own supplies, with a shop and eateries on site. It is a popular, busy resort during South African school holidays, so book early for peak periods. The heated indoor pool is currently closed for roof replacement, with reopening planned later in 2026.
