About This Property

Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa sits on the hillside at Glacis, on Mahé’s north-west coast, among granite boulders, coconut palms and mango trees, looking over Beau Vallon Bay toward Silhouette and North islands. Go2Africa sells it as a secluded villa retreat for honeymooners. Hilton’s own factsheet is blunter: 56 villas, all with ocean views, and an adults-oriented house rule — guests 13 years and older only.

The published villa mix is 20 King Sunset Villas (90 m²), six King Oceanview Villas (90 m²), 14 King Premium Oceanfront Villas (90 m², on stilts), 15 Grand Oceanview Villas with Infinity Pool (130 m²) and one Two Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villa (360 m²). Go2Africa describes the King Ocean View (semi-private balcony, walk-in shower, separate bathtub, king bed, 42-inch LCD) and the Grand Ocean View with private infinity pool and whirlpool bath. Air-conditioning, living area, balcony or deck, Nespresso, minibar, tea and coffee, and a bathroom with walk-in shower plus jacuzzi/whirlpool are the repeating kit. A named Ian Fleming Suite appears in Go2Africa’s expert note and older partner copy as an upgrade linked to the author’s stay; it is not a separate line on the current Hilton factsheet.

Go2Africa’s meal plan is bed and breakfast. The current Hilton outlets are Mahe (signature restaurant, à la carte breakfast and dinner, Creole-inspired), Wave (à la carte lunch and dinner), the Ocean View Bar on a split-level deck, and The Lower Deck gin bar. Go2Africa still names a Hilltop Restaurant (buffet breakfasts and dinners) and Les Cocotiers (Creole à la carte) — older labels for the dining rooms; use the live Hilton names at booking. Half board, full board and (from 1 November 2024 on Kuoni) an all-inclusive drinks-and-dine-around option are published upgrades. Complimentary snorkelling and kayaking are on Go2Africa; Kuoni adds stand-up paddleboards. Windsurfing, water-skiing, parasailing, catamaran and fishing trips sit at the water-sports desk as extras.

The infinity pool has a three-level deck and a Beau Vallon Bay view. eforea Spa (Go2Africa also types “Dunlye”/Duniye, the older spa name) sits on granite boulders over the sea. There is a 24-hour fitness centre, a Crow’s Nest library (also a 72 m² meeting room), an arrival/departure lounge with showers, and a small secluded cove; Beau Vallon Beach is about 2 km. Seychelles International Airport is 15–18 km / about 25–30 minutes. The resort is a published 5-star.

Why We Love It

We like Northolme for the geography: a granite hillside, stilted villas, and the bay opening toward Silhouette, with Beau Vallon a short hop if you want a bigger beach. It is a 56-key Hilton, not a ten-cottage island, but every published villa looks at the Indian Ocean, and 15 of them add a private infinity pool.

The 13-and-over rule is the honest filter. If you are travelling with younger children, this is the wrong Mahé hotel. If you want a quiet honeymoon or anniversary week with a spa on the rocks and a gin bar on the deck, it is the right scale. We would pay up for a Grand Oceanview pool villa rather than a hillside sunset room if the view is the point of the booking.

Breakfast is in the rate on Go2Africa; lunch, dinner and most water toys are not. That is cleaner than a fake all-inclusive. Confirm the live restaurant names — Mahe, Wave, Ocean View Bar, Lower Deck — because older Go2Africa copy still says Hilltop and Les Cocotiers. And budget the SCR 100 environmental levy plus Christmas and New Year gala dinners, which partners flag as compulsory on those nights.

How to Get There

From Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)

The resort is on North Coast Road, Glacis, on the north-west of Mahé. Hilton puts the airport 18 km away; the hotel factsheet says 15 km. Airport transfers are arranged at a charge (one partner card: about EUR 69 per vehicle, one-way — confirm the live rate). There is no published complimentary airport shuttle.

On Mahé’s north coast

Beau Vallon Beach is about 2 km. Victoria is about 5–6 km. North Coast Road is the coastal run. Hillside villas on stilts mean paths and steps; contact the hotel before arrival if mobility is an issue. If you will reach the desk after about 23:30, partners ask you to call ahead.

Beau Vallon Beach (about 2 km), Beau Vallon Bay, Victoria (about 5–6 km), Seychelles Botanical Gardens (about 8 km), National Museum (about 8 km), Silhouette Island marine park (about 20 km), North Island views

PADI diving is nearby rather than a full on-site school in older partner lists.

Year-round 5-star beach resort. Kuoni flags April–May and October–November as the best window (typical Seychelles shoulder, calmer seas).
