About This Property
Loisaba is the Samburu name for the Seven Sisters star cluster, and at Loisaba Starbeds you sleep beneath it on a bed rolled out onto an open wooden platform. It sits on the 56,000-acre Loisaba Conservancy on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau.
There’s a big elephant population, lion and leopard, and it’s a great spot for endangered wild dog. We go on day and night drives, walks, horse rides, camel treks, lion tracking and mountain-bike outings, and meet the anti-poaching unit and its sniffer dogs.
Why We Love It
We love falling asleep under that sky in complete safety, with the option to stay under the thatch if you prefer. Bush breakfasts, picnics and sundowners on the Laikipia plains keep the days just as special.
