About This Property
Elsa’s Kopje is a private, award-winning lodge on a rocky hillside in Meru National Park. It is named after Elsa, the lioness raised by George and Joy Adamson.
The cottages are built into the rocks, looking over plains of doum palms and baobabs. Drives in open 4x4s, nature walks, night drives and rafting on the Tana River are on offer.
Back at the lodge there is a pool with views, massages, a library and Italian-influenced cuisine.
Why We Love It
We love Meru for its solitude. It is one of Kenya’s least-visited parks, with a thriving rhino sanctuary and stunning scenery.
The honeymoon cottages with outdoor baths are pure romance.
