About This Property
Kichwa Tembo is a much-loved tented camp on a private concession bordering the Masai Mara, looking over the plains and the Sabaringo River. It sits right in the path of the Great Migration.
We go out morning and afternoon in open-sided vehicles for the Big 5, with night drives and balloon flights on offer. From August to November, the river crossings are the big draw.
Why We Love It
We love the variety of tents, from secluded forest spots for birders to some with the escarpment views made famous by Out of Africa. Friendly staff, a pool for hot days and candlelit bush dinners make it easy to love.

Set in the forest, slightly smaller and further from the main area, so they’re quiet and private.
Superior Tent
Very roomy tents placed for views, of the open Mara, the Mara through the trees or the escarpment. Three pairs of family tents share a connecting passage.

A cosy bar, indoor and outdoor dining, a pool, boma, curio shop and laundry. Wi-fully inclusive is available.

Pan-African food outdoors with views or in the dining room, with private dinners and bush banquets on request.
