About This Property
Chitabe Lediba sits in a large private concession in the south-eastern Okavango Delta, sharing a boundary with the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp looks over a busy waterhole, so there is often game to watch from the deck between drives.
It is a small, personal camp run by Wilderness. With only five safari tents and two family units, it suits families and groups of friends who want the Delta without the crowds. Days are built around morning, afternoon and night drives, plus guided walks in the concession.
The Chitabe area is known for its predators. Lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog are all seen here, alongside buffalo, elephant, hippo and good plains game.
Why We Love It
We love that Chitabe Lediba gives families a proper Okavango Delta safari in an intimate setting. The Bush Buddy programme keeps under-12s busy with tracking, birding and bush cooking while adults enjoy the game drives.
We also like the predator focus. The concession has a good wild dog record, and the owners support local wild dog conservation work.
