About This Property
Lemala Ndutu is a seasonal camp of nine tents in a quiet, shady spot near Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s set up only for the calving season, when the Migration herds gather on the southern plains.
From December to March wildebeest and zebra are everywhere, sometimes walking right through camp, and the newborn calves draw predators, so lion hunts aren’t unusual. We go out on drives, full days with picnics, walks along the marsh with an armed guide, and balloon flights.
Why We Love It
We love the intimate legacy-camp feel: solar-powered chandeliers in the mess tent, a well-stocked bar, and sundowners by the fire while hyenas whoop in the dark.
