About This Property
Chicari Camp sits on the edge of a forest in Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park, a park famous for its restoration. A seasonal pan in front of camp draws animals in to drink and splash.
Antelope herds graze the grasslands, the wetlands are full of birds, and wild dog, lion and elephant are seen often, with civet and genet after dark. The camp’s pangolin rehab work means you may see one foraging as it’s readied for release.
Why We Love It
We love the simple, stylish canvas, the treehouse deck for birding, and meals flavoured with local honey and chillies. Coffee tours and helicopter flights make easy add-ons.
