About This Property
Lemala Mpingo Ridge sits on top of an escarpment among granite boulders, with sweeping views over the Tarangire River. From about June to October the river draws huge numbers of buffalo, giraffe and elephant.
Most travellers rush past Tarangire on the way to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, which leaves it wonderfully quiet. We look for its big elephant herds, tree-climbing lions and long-necked gerenuk, photograph the giant baobabs and enjoy around 550 bird species. Night drives and balloon flights add more.
Why We Love It
We love the outdoor bath on your private deck, looking out over the valley. A spa session after a bush walk and a private dinner with that Tarangire panorama make it unforgettable.
