About This Property
Lake Elementeita Serena Camp sits on the shore of a classic Rift Valley lake in the Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya. Thousands of flamingos and pelicans feed in the shallows, and every tent faces the water.
We go looking for big game in Soysambu and nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, and because it’s a private conservancy, night drives are possible too. Guided walks, horse rides and balloon flights add variety.
Why We Love It
We love the old-world style of the tents and the easy rhythm: a swim, a book and binoculars in the lounge, high tea at 4pm sharp, then out again. Monkeys playing around camp provide the entertainment.
