About This Property
Katara Lodge is a peaceful, eco-minded lodge overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. Its thatched cottages draw on local building styles and materials, so it settles easily into the landscape.
The park is wonderfully varied: savannah, papyrus swamps, crater lakes and the Maramagambo Forest, with close to 100 mammal species and about 600 birds. We go out on game drives, river cruises and guided walks, and visit nearby villages.
Why We Love It
We love the infinity pool with its sweeping park views and the warm, detail-minded service. A fireplace in your cottage and spa treatments using local ingredients make for very cosy evenings.
