About This Property
Kambi ya Tembo is a classic tented camp in the Sinya concession in northern Tanzania, right on the Kenyan border next to Amboseli. On a clear morning Kilimanjaro’s snowy summit fills the horizon, with Mount Meru in the distance too.
It’s small and uncrowded, and these dry Sinya and Elerai lands are home to some of East Africa’s biggest elephants. We walk with Maasai guides, visit a Maasai village and end the day with sundowners facing the mountain.
Why We Love It
We love the views, simple as that. Waking up to Kilimanjaro from your tent never gets old, and a full English breakfast with eggs how you like them doesn’t hurt either.
