About This Property
Gomoti Plains Camp takes its name from the Gomoti River, in a private concession beside the Moremi Game Reserve. Because it is private land, you can do bush walks, off-road tracking and spotlit night drives for bushbabies, genets, porcupine and giant eagle-owls. None of these are allowed in Moremi.
The waterways, floodplains and woodland hold elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe, all three big cats and a strong population of wild dog, with rhino and roan possible. When the flood arrives, canoe and motorboat safaris are added. In-tent massages and a plunge pool round out the days.
Why We Love It
We love it as an all-round Delta introduction, with land and water activities, rarities like wild dog and Machaba’s warm, unpretentious style.
Families are welcome, which isn’t a given in the Delta.
