About This Property

Chamilandu has one of the best riverside spots in South Luangwa. Its three tree-house chalets look across the Luangwa River to the Nchindeni Hills.

We start with a dawn walk and a proper brunch, laze in a hammock or sit in the riverside hide, then drive out in the late afternoon. Elephants and hippos come down to the oxbow lagoons to drink.

Why We Love It

We love waking up high in the trees with a 180-degree river view, and the stargazing from a bathroom open to the sky. It’s small, peaceful and made for walkers.
