About This Property
Mfuwe Lodge is an award-winning lodge under thatch on palm poles, set over a lagoon in South Luangwa National Park. The valley is famous for big numbers of hippo, buffalo and elephant, plus lion and leopard.
We swim as animals graze and drink at the lagoon below, then head out on morning, afternoon and night drives or a walking safari.
Why We Love It
We love watching hippos from the pool at sundowner time, and the bush spa with its private river views. A full English breakfast cooked over wood and charcoal in a shady grove once a week is a treat.
