About This Property
Singita Ebony Lodge is where the Singita story began — the founding lodge of one of Africa's most decorated safari brands, set on the banks of the Sand River in the private Singita concession within the Sabi Sand. Ancient jackalberry trees shade the camp, and an unfenced boundary with the Kruger means wildlife moves freely through the property.
Twelve suites blend a bohemian, tented-camp spirit with genuinely contemporary luxury: each has its own private plunge pool, a double-sided fireplace, and walls of glass that keep you in the bush even at your most pampered. The Sabi Sand is famous for relaxed, close-up leopard sightings, and Ebony's guide-and-tracker teams are among the best in the business.
Days are bookended by twice-daily game drives and unhurried meals — the lodge is known for a serious wine cellar, an in-house sommelier, and cuisine that ranges from boma feasts to private dinners on your deck. Rates are fully inclusive.
Why We Love It
This is the rare lodge that delivers equally on wildlife and indulgence. The leopard viewing in the Sabi Sand is some of the most reliable on the continent, and the guiding lifts a drive from sightseeing to genuine field-craft.
Off the vehicle, the wine cellar and sommelier are a destination in their own right, the spa and private plunge pools reward slow afternoons, and the Ebony Villa — two family suites with a private guide, vehicle, chef and host — makes it a surprisingly brilliant choice for families and small groups who want the place to themselves.
