About This Property
Kapama Buffalo Camp is a ten-tent camp in Kapama Private Game Reserve on the edge of the greater Kruger. Wooden walkways wind under the trees to suites on decks above a riverbed, and the mood is old-school safari romance with modern comforts.
The reserve holds about 40 mammal species and loads of birdlife. We look for the Big 5 in open 4x4s, slow down on guided walks, and add night drives, balloon flights or a night on a star bed for something extra.
Why We Love It
We love how personal it feels with so few guests. A book by the fire, a story at the Buffalo Bar, a swim in the leafy pool and a session in the wellness centre with its gym, lap pool and six treatment rooms all make for a lovely rhythm.

Ten tented suites on decks over the riverbed, with leather and dark wood, white cotton linen, climate control and a Nespresso machine. Each has a king bed, a bath with a view, a shower, double vanities and a big outdoor deck.
