About This Property
Ruzizi Tented Lodge has a beautiful spot on the shore of Lake Ihema, one of only three lodges inside Akagera National Park. The park shows Rwanda’s remarkable conservation progress in miniature, with rhino brought back and savannah wildlife thriving.
It runs entirely on solar power, sits between lake and forest, and the birding is excellent.
Why We Love It
We love the campfire on the big lakeside deck each night, and trying sambaza, small local fish, with urwagwa, banana beer. The tree-top honeymoon tent is wonderfully romantic.
