About This Property
We love how Quatermain’s turns back the clock. Three crisp white safari tents, furnished with military campaign-style pieces, recreate the golden age of exploration on the malaria-free Amakhala Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.
With only six guests in camp, it feels like your own private expedition, with en-suite bathrooms as the one modern concession.
Why We Love It
Every tent has its own wood-fired hot tub on a private deck, which is hard to beat after an evening drive.
Dinner is cooked over an open fire in the thatched boma and served under the stars, and you can swap any game drive for a walking safari.
