About This Property
Okonjima Plains Camp began life as an old family farmhouse in the Otjiwarongo region of northern Namibia, near the Waterberg Plateau Park. Its thatched lodge and rooms are now spread across rolling lawns.
It’s best known as home to the AfriCat Foundation and its big cat rehabilitation work. We watch leopard, track cheetah and hyena, and stop over between Etosha and Windhoek.
Why We Love It
We love afternoon tea and cake in The Barn, and chatting by the fire with other guests at night. The waterhole in front of the rooms keeps us glued to the window.
