About This Property
Narina Lodge by andBeyond is named after the elusive Narina trogon — one of Africa's most beautiful and sought-after birds — and like its namesake, the lodge is a hidden jewel tucked into the ancient riverine forest of the Biyamiti River in southern Kruger National Park.
Nine luxury suites are built on elevated stilts among the canopy, each with glass-fronted living areas, private heated plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and a deck that seems to float among the treetops. The design brings the forest inside: natural materials, leaf-green accents, and views through the canopy in every direction.
Narina holds a unique concession within the Kruger National Park itself — not a private reserve bordering the park, but inside Kruger's boundaries. This means pristine, untouched wilderness and an extraordinary diversity of wildlife that benefits from the park's vast ecosystem.
Why We Love It
Narina is the most romantic lodge in the Kruger region. The elevated suites in the treetops, the heated plunge pools, and the intimate forest setting create an atmosphere that's both luxurious and deeply connected to nature. Being inside Kruger (rather than in a private reserve) means the wildlife diversity is exceptional — you're accessing the full park ecosystem.
