About This Property
Kyambura Gorge Lodge is a restored coffee estate at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, on the edge of Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. The old coffee drying shed is now an eclectic, eco-minded lodge with big views across the gorge.
Down in the forested gorge live endangered chimpanzees, and we spend a day tracking them through the trees, with great birding along the way. Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s flagship park, home to buffalo, elephant, lion, hippo and leopard, which we explore on drives and river cruises.

We love the character of the place, from local art and books in the old coffee store to hammocks by the saltwater pool. An in-room massage after a chimp trek, and learning about the lodge’s community projects, round it off beautifully.
