About This Property
Encounter Mara is an Asilia tented camp in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, part of the greater Masai Mara ecosystem. The lounge tent looks over a salt lick that draws game, with an outdoor fire area alongside.
Naboisho is known for high wildlife density and few vehicles. Guiding is by the camp’s own Maasai guides, and as a conservancy it allows bush walks and night drives, which the main reserve does not.
The Migration may pass through in season, but resident game is excellent year-round. Asilia adds a small nightly levy that funds community and conservation work.
Why We Love It
We love Naboisho for its crowd-free game viewing. Encounter Mara’s salt lick means the action often comes to the lounge.
The Maasai guides bring generational knowledge, and the family tent makes it easy for families.
