About This Property
Time + Tide Chongwe Camp sits on the banks of the Chongwe River, at its confluence with the Zambezi and on the edge of the Lower Zambezi National Park. Large elephant herds often wander through camp.
The camp has nine double tents under thatch, plus two tented family suites with their own living areas, plunge pools and fire pits. It has a relaxed, informal feel.
Explore by open 4×4, on foot, by canoe or on a river cruise. More than 250 bird species are recorded here, and tigerfish angling is a big draw.
Why We Love It
We love the variety. Few areas let you drive, walk, canoe and fish from one camp, and Chongwe does it all with the escarpment as a backdrop.
We also like the easy, unpretentious atmosphere. It works for couples, families and keen anglers alike.
