About This Property
Africa on Foot is in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, 13,000 hectares on both banks of the Klaserie River. It’s unfenced from the neighbouring Greater Kruger reserves, so game moves freely.
Walking is the speciality here. We set out on foot at dawn for the Big 5, with good odds on leopard and lion, and add bush breakfasts and sundowner drives.
Why We Love It
We love a night in the stilted treehouse under the stars, braais in the boma, and the hidden bush bar, which you can book for gin tastings and canapés. The days are flexible and personal.

Who It's For
Safari travellers who want guided Big 5 walks more than plunge-pool luxury: couples, honeymooners (treehouse sleep-out), and families with children under 16 on the game-drive / bumble option. First-time walkers on easy flat terrain. Not a high-end Relais-style lodge.
Best Time to Visit
Open year-round for Klaserie / Greater Kruger safaris. Dry winter months (roughly May–September) typically concentrate game near water and suit walking; summer brings afternoon storms, lush bush and summer migrants. Confirm trail conditions after heavy rain.
