About This Property
Kigelia Camp sits in a grove of sausage trees, with their dangling pods and scarlet flowers, on the Ifuguru Sand River in Ruaha National Park. Ruaha is where east meets southern Africa, so the mix of plants and animals is unlike anywhere else.
Lion, leopard, cheetah and endangered wild dog all hunt here, and you’ll rarely share a sighting. We plan the days with your guide: long drives with a picnic, walks, or sundowners on the sandy riverbank in the shade of baobabs.
Why We Love It
We love the freedom to set your own programme and the quiet of a six-tent camp. Coffee at your tent at dawn, a bush breakfast under a baobab and a chance to see the camp’s community work in Idodi and Tungamalenga make it special.
