About This Property
Cheetah Plains is a radical reimagining of the luxury safari lodge. Set on an exclusive private concession within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, the property features just three standalone ‘houses' — Ebony, Ivory, and Karula — each an architectural statement in glass, steel, and stone that wouldn't look out of place in a contemporary art museum.
Each house is a fully self-contained villa with multiple bedrooms, a private pool, kitchen, wine cellar, dedicated chef, butler, field guide, and tracker. The interiors are curated with museum-quality contemporary African art, bespoke furniture, and a design language that's deliberately bold and modern against the ancient bush landscape.
Despite the contemporary design, the game viewing is pure Sabi Sand: Big Five territory with some of the best leopard sightings in Africa. Each house operates independently with its own vehicle, meaning game drives are entirely private.
