Etendeka Concession guide

Overview

The Etendeka Concession lies in the Kunene Region of north-western Namibia, near Palmwag. It’s named after the flat-topped Etendeka mountains, which were formed by ancient lava flows.

The landscape is made of basalt hills, stony plains and grassland, with dry riverbeds that cross it. It’s a remote, low-impact area with very few visitors.

Guests stay at a small eco-camp and go on guided walks and drives to find desert-adapted wildlife.

Wildlife & Biodiversity

Wildlife

Hartmann’s mountain zebra, gemsbok, springbok, kudu and giraffe live here, and desert-adapted elephants, black rhino and lions sometimes pass through.
