Why We Built This Site
Glamping has grown faster than the information about it. Search for a tented camp and you find booking platforms that list a deck and an outdoor shower but cannot tell you which deck catches the winter afternoon sun, how close the waterhole sits, or what the camp sounds like at three in the morning. That gap, between a listing and an actual stay, is the reason GlampingInAfrica exists.
We built the site because choosing where to stay should be the best part of planning a safari, not a guessing game. Our goal is to give you clear, honest, practical detail on every property and area we cover, so you can match a camp to your budget, your travel style and your wildlife priorities with confidence.
What Makes Us Different
We are a South African team based in Gauteng, and we know this region first-hand, not from a desk. Many of the camps we write about we have actually stayed in: the early starts, the sound of the bush at night, the layout of a tent, the drive in from the gate. Where we have stayed somewhere, the detail shows it.
Where we have not yet, we research it accurately from the property's own materials and never pretend to a familiarity we do not have.
We are not a booking engine, and we do not take commission in exchange for favourable placement. A property earns its spot on quality, location and value, nothing else.
